A Larimar Vacations Tradition

Lari — The World's Most Traveled Monkey

He's been to more countries than most people. He's never once complained about a delayed flight.

How It Started

Every Fully-Booked Client Gets a Lari

Lari started as a small gesture — a little stuffed monkey included with select bookings, something fun to bring along on the trip. Somewhere along the way, he became something bigger than that.

Clients started sending photos. Lari in a kimono in Kyoto. Lari strapped into a life jacket before a shore excursion. Lari perched at the captain's controls on a ship's bridge. Lari with a cappuccino in a piazza in Florence. Every photo is a little proof-of-life that the trip Dawn planned actually happened, and that somebody had fun along the way.

He's since picked up travel companions — Lori, his pink-and-brown counterpart, and Lari Jr., who tags along on family trips. Between the three of them, there isn't a continent they haven't seen.

"TSA agents stop to photograph him. Tour guides ask to hold him. One client called Dawn in tears when she lost him in an airport — that's not a mascot gimmick, that's what happens when a small detail becomes part of how people remember their trip."
