Meet Dawn

Dawn Mulford has been planning extraordinary travel experiences for over 35 years. Based in Texas, she specializes in luxury cruises, river cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and group travel - and she's personally been to most of the places she recommends.

Her business runs almost entirely on referrals. Not because she doesn't know how to advertise, but because the kind of trust her clients have in her can't be bought with an ad - it's earned one perfectly planned trip at a time.

When she hasn't been somewhere personally, she has 11,000 colleagues around the world she can call. Someone, somewhere, always knows the best restaurant in Barcelona - or the best cabin on a particular ship, or which excursion is worth the extra cost and which isn't.

THE BUILDER BEHIND THE SCENES

Meet Stan

Stan Mulford is the co-owner of Larimar Vacations and Dawn’s steadfast partner in making dream vacations a reality. Since 2016 he has been the quiet force behind the scenes—maintaining the CRM database, crafting marketing campaigns, handling the technology that keeps everything running smoothly, and providing the steady IT and emotional support that lets Dawn focus on her clients.

Together they also lead travel groups to destinations all over the world, turning carefully planned itineraries into shared adventures and lasting memories.

Before fully immersing himself in the travel world, Stan spent more than three decades in information technology, most of it with BNSF Railway. There he led projects that took complex systems into the next generation—developing cellular and mobile solutions for intermodal operations, managing customer and employee portals, improving application performance, and guiding teams through high-stakes situations. His background in architecture reviews, situation management, process improvement, and clear communication now translates directly into smoother operations and better service for Larimar clients.

Stan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Information Technology from Colorado Technical University and an Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. Those technical foundations, combined with years of hands-on problem-solving and leadership, make him the reliable backbone of the business.

When he’s not supporting Dawn or traveling with groups, Stan can usually be found in Texas with Dawn and their two dogs, Ginger and Poppy.
